North Adams, Massachusetts – Michael DeMarsico, a cherished father and community member, tragically passed away on November 17th, 2024, while on his way to present a memorial award in honor of his late son.
DeMarsico was en route to North Adams Youth Football when his life was suddenly cut short in an unforeseen incident.
This tragic event comes just 12 years after the family’s heartbreaking loss of DeMarsico’s son, who died while serving in Afghanistan.
DeMarsico had been set to present his son's memorial award to a young football player, a moment that would have been deeply meaningful to both his family and the community.
His son, Adam DeMarsico, who is organizing a fundraiser to aid the family during this difficult time, shared the news with a heavy heart.
“Our lives tragically changed in 2012 when we lost our brother in Afghanistan, and 12 short years later, we lost our dad,” Adam wrote.
The funds raised will be used for funeral expenses and bills, providing much-needed support during the holiday season.
The DeMarsico family has expressed their gratitude for the outpouring of love and support they have received.
